Fenella is my go-to person when it comes to dog behaviour. I have a doggy care care, and she held two brilliantly useful workshops (on barking and lead pulling) for my clients. She also helped me massively when my own border collie went through a reactive stage as a teenager. She understood his triggers and supported me the whole way through the journey. She was so brilliant I couldn't let her go - that's why we've worked together ever since!

Fenella came to help with what I thought was an impossible task. My two naughty Dachsund’s are definitely quieter and are responding to her suggestions. I Completely recommend her if you need help with your dogs’ behaviour, she could see immediately how to deal with them.

Fenella is brilliant! She has sorted our 6 month old GSD puppy’s various lockdown anxieties such as barking, fear of people, other dogs and more. Thanks to Fenella our puppy is now relaxed, walks without pulling, is polite with other dogs and new people and has also learnt some great tricks. Perhaps most brilliantly of all Fenella taught me and my family how to behave with our puppy to defuse her anxiety. I’ve no doubt she can deal with any dog problems and most importantly for the dogs, those of their owners as well!

Fenella's been great with my two rescue dogs (whom are terrified of human beings)! They took a liking to her and trusted her instantly. She's also kept in touch with me after our first session to ensure everything was going well with the training. She understood what my dogs were going through and what their needs were. I'm very pleased with her coaching and have seen great improvement with my dogs in just on one session. I highly recommend her. Thank you very much, Fenella!

Fenella has done wonders with my Jack Russell who used to tear around chasing anything that moved and had NO recall. It is now a pleasure to take her on walks….. THANK GOODNESS! Fenella has also taught her how to socialise with other dogs and walks in the park are now ‘a walk in the park’! I highly recommend her services. Also check out her books: Be More Dog and No Such Thing as a Bad Dog Really helpful guidance.

I have met Fenella twice now to help us with our puppy and my friend and I have nick named her the puppy whisperer. Our puppy was playing up on the lead mid walk and it had created such problems that I found it too difficult/stressful to walk her, leaving the responsibility of walking her to my husband for a couple of weeks. Fenella gave me some fantastic advice about how to be in better control of the walks just before we took a family holiday away and I couldn’t have been happier with the result after just one session. Our puppy is still learning to walk on a slack lead but has made so much progress in just a couple of weeks. Fenella is a really good listener and really sought to understand what was going on to give the best advice and suggestions as to how to tackle the problems on both occasions that we met. I couldn’t recommend her more. I think some trainers are slave to doing things a certain way and there were a couple of times when Fenella suggested something that we had tried before but when I explained that it wasn’t working for us, she understood that you sometimes need to tweak the way you are handling things to suit the dog and suggested different approaches. I wouldn’t hesitate to call Fenella again if we run in to issues going forward. Highly recommended!

Fenella has an extraordinary way with dogs (and their owners). We learnt so much from her in just one session. Within minutes of meeting them, she had our dogs happily following her every instruction, and then taught us how to do the same. What's more, it was just so interesting and fun to learn from her - she left us with loads of tips and strategies to deal with unwanted behaviour and a real understanding of what our dogs needed from us. Humans and animals in our house all happier as a result - I just wish we had booked her right from the start. Thank you Fenella!

Working with Fenella was amazing, we've seen a huge transformation already in our CavaPoo who is far more calmer and obedient.. Fenella's techniques are fantastic but also involve huge amounts of fun for both me and the dog. Couldn't recommend her higher.

Fenella came to see my young labradoodle who had some serious guarding issues. She brought along her own dog to help and we now know what to do to nip the guarding thing in the bud. Thank you @bemoredog

Walking on the lead, jumping up

Thank you, for your thorough, courteous and professional assessment and recommendations. We practised walking on lead this morning, and it was noticeably better simply by the time we got back. And I ‘moved into her space’ this morning when she tried to jump up. She didn’t do that again! Nice! Now I’ve just got to get the kids to do the same, so she gets a consistent message, like you say.

Excessive barking, carpet licking

So many thanks Fenella for coming to train Flurry (and me and my husband.) You were so warm and responsive, and fun but firm ! You sorted us out so beautifully! We have been trying to be firm but kind in the way you demonstrated, and when we remember what to do it really does work. He is such an obliging dog and has been cooperative in ways I didn’t think he knew how!

Aggression to other dogs

Thanks Fenella for all your guidance over the last couple of months. I realize its going to take my continued commitment, but the change I have seen in Danny is so positive already, and he’s really listening to my commands now, and choosing to look at me instead of other dogs. Since you taught me about his body language I can now tell which dogs he’s going to go for, and I can divert a fight. Yesterday he said hello politely to every dog we passed! At this rate we might get the muzzle order revoked sooner rather than later.

Separation Anxiety

Quick update on Angel- even the day after you left I could see an improvement. To be honest I think she could sense a change in my attitude, so she knows she can't get her own way any more! Now I can leave the room for half an hour, and she will happily go to her crate and wait without barking. Thanks Fenella-I can smell freedom!

Nervous dog. Fear when going outside.

Thank you so much for your time on Sunday, and all the advice. I’ve attached a video of Kira from yesterday, and you can see we got her out the house easily. We’ve just made some small changes so far but you can see her confidence building already. There was a car back-firing and it barely phased her!

Fear of loud noises, and going out in dark.

Our 7 yr old dog Charlie (f) developed a fear of fireworks, thunderstorms and onwards from that , any random loud bangs. The result being that she refused to go out in the evening. Within the first session we had with Fenella we learnt to improve our body language to make Charlie follow our commands, and use distraction to give her no time for fear, and make every experience positive. And we learnt how to build up her confidence. I thoroughly enjoyed the practice with Fenella. She is a joy to have on board, and an upbeat lady with practical solutions which suited us very well. The follow up email is very useful too. I’m happy to report that Charlie is improving, so I’m very grateful to Fenella and would definitely recommend her for any behaviour problems . She reads the dog’s body language immediately and hands you the tools to help your dog.

Poor recall, aggression, ball obsession

My dog was an absolute handful before Fenella did her magic. She quickly understood the temperament of Purdey as well as the anxieties of the owner! She was completely non-judgemental about the relationship I have with Purdey, but also explained her psyche, which helped me not to over-parent! We have had 5 sessions and I now enjoy taking Purdey for a walk rather than dreading the disapproval of my fellow dog owners. Man’s best friend is most definitely a dog – but also a Fenella!
